What this site is
manhwaindex is a free catalog of 2,499 comics, 1,000 anime and 14,189 characters. Each title page lists the official apps and platforms that carry it, what they cost, and whether an adaptation exists.
We never host chapters or episodes. Every outbound link goes to a publisher, a licensor or a streaming service that holds the rights.
Why it exists
Finding a series is easy. Finding the legal place to read it is not. Rights are split across dozens of apps, they differ by region, and they move. This index keeps that answer in one place so readers do not end up on a scan site by default.
Where the data comes from
Titles, synopses, cover art, scores and character profiles come from AniList, a community-run media database with a public API. Scores are also cross-checked against MyAnimeList. Cover art and artwork belong to their publishers and are shown for identification only.
The whole index rebuilds automatically every day at 02:00 UTC. New titles appear on their own, and dead links drop out on their own.
How links are chosen
- Official only. Publishers, licensors and licensed streaming services.
- Free first. When a platform has a free or ad-supported tier, we say so.
- No aggregators. No scan sites, no mirrors, no unofficial readers, ever.
Corrections
Availability changes constantly. If a link is wrong or a title is missing a platform, tell us at hello@manhwaindex.com and we will fix it.
